Here at Sykes Supply we strive on showing our community the love it deserves!
Matt Cox, Eric Shaw and Bob Dunn from the Sykes Team alongside the team from Milwaukee, attended the B.U.I.L.D. Harnett 2023 event to show support to the talented students in this year's competition. Each team of students was given plans and materials to build an 8 x 12 storage barn. These barns are to be auctioned off and donated to a local nonprofit organization.
B.U.I.L.D. Harnett will be an annual event showcasing the talents of the construction trades students while giving back to CTE! Last year, HCBE co-hosted a similar event at HCS Central Services. The event was a great success for our students. High school students in our construction trades classes built a shed, on site, over the course of three days. Students showcased their talents and connected with professionals in the trades for employment opportunities.
It was an honor being a sponsor for this event and we look forward to future events of our community.
